Raoul Pahin was born in 1962. Trained by Bernard Dreyfuss, co-founder of the Objectal group, he decided in 1985 to devote himself to painting after his studies at Camondo. Between 1990 and 1995, he stays in Japan where he is invited to make portraits of souls in situ during itinerant trips. His artistic journey is marked by forays into the world of theatre and music. Invited to produce drawings or posters, he also collaborates in the scenography and staging of plays and concerts: the Woyzeck project with the students of the Amandiers theatre school, Pierre Laville’s Étoiles for the théâtre de la Madeleine, Harold David’s Orchampt in Avignon, Cocteau’s La Voix humaine at the “Éclats” festival.
