Jean Philippe Pernot

“Violence”: A brutal act, the action of an unrestrained force, by force… This is how violence is defined in dictionaries. Ordinary or not, violence is the act of expressing a force, of what brings back to the body that is beyond restraint. And the woman is often the first victim, the child too, and finally the man. And having only the images, or almost only the images, to say it, I wanted to use visual restraint to stimulate the mind, which retains or little retains what is violence beyond the body. And from link to link in thoughts, to draw the thread of the mind that we no longer nourish with violence, the violence of the ordinary, of today, but through culture, art, strangeness, surprise.
