Komili

Born in 1983 in Thessaloniki, Greece, Komili graduated from the École Supérieure de l’Image (DNAP) and holds a Master’s degree in Museology (with honours) from the Université Jean Moulin 3 de Lyon. She focuses her pictorial work mainly on urban landscapes at the edge of the mineral and the vegetable.

HER PARTICULARITY: Komili offers us urban landscapes imbued with realism, which take us to the border between the stolen cliché and the painting. She doesn’t invent any place, she invites herself in the streets, the alleys but also in the heart of building sites or abandoned quarries to work like a documentarist, in the survey of the architecture.
